[TouchFS v1.2.0]: Can not connect -> can't find the server
Hello,
just now bought&downloaded TouchFS v1.2.0 but did not succeed with the connection.
- iPhone Server is in status "Running
- IP Adress and port set
- i tried to put into Safari the URL as recomended in the "Options" section of the TouchFS ("http://IP adress:8080/") but get back following:
"Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server"
- following the instructions in the documentation regarding access the server from my PC (Win XP Pro) incl. the installation of the recomended Microsoft patch i come to the similar result
Any help welcome.
thanks in advance

Make sure your iPhone is on the WiFi network
If the TouchFS server is running, authentication is turned OFF and the port value is set to its default of 8080 and you still can't connect even from a web browser like Safari, it usually means the iPhone is using its cellular network connection instead of its WiFi connection.
Make sure your iPhone is connected via WiFi to the same network your computer is attached to. If it is, and your computer is still not "seeing" your iPhone, I'm at loss. Is there some filtering or firewall on your network router that may be preventing a connection?
It sounds like there's something more fundamental going on here since the steps you've taken all seem correct. Verify you're iPhone is connected via WiFi to your computer's network and we'll continue working this through.
BTW, I completely apologize for not getting to this sooner. I've been going through our support email every single day, but have not visited the forums in a few days.
