Edit Text files
It would be great to edit text/ascii files. We could get rid of the "Notes" app and sync back to the mac/pc.
The cocoa widget that allows viewing text and changing the font should have an edit method (I'm guessing). The hardest part probably would be the sync, which to get the feature out, add an option which way to sync, or more likely just sync from the iphone/touch to the mac/pc for starters.
this app excites me! :)

A planned feature
While we don't want TouchFS to evolve into a complicated file manager and editor, we're already planning on adding basic text file editing via an updated version. You're correct that text file editing is built in and would be easy to implement.
As for syncing, once connected to TouchFS, you should be able to use any software on your computer that's able to sync your computer to a WebDAV share. On the Mac, I believe Cyberduck is able to do this. I'm sure there's equivalent programs available for Windows and Linix too.
Thanks for the suggestion.
