Shut Down

After downloading a "medium" size excel file when I try to open it the application shuts down and returns to the iphone main screen.I have managed to view single page excel files OK. Is there a limit on file size ??

There's no arbitrary limit to the file size of files you can view in TouchFS, but you will be limited to the amount of free memory on the device.  (This amount of memory is the same regardless of what size iPhone or iPod Touch you have...we're talking system RAM, not storage space)


All Office documents and PDF files are displayed by the system viewer in TouchFS.  This is the same viewer used in Safari and Mail.  If you can view this file correctly as a mail attachment in Mail or browse to it in Safari, TouchFS shouldn't have a problem with it.  Of course, if Mail or Safari have trouble viewing it, TouchFS will too.


I've successfully opened up 50MB PDFs and 5MB Excel documents before (I don't have any really large Excel files to test with).  If there's nothing in your Excel file you don't mind us seeing, send it to our support email address and I'll test it personally.


In general, multiple page files are definitely supported though.
