Bi-directional file access

Before buying a copy of TouchFS I would like to know if the app will allow users to get stuff like mp3's, movies, contacts, call info etc from the iPhone. Or if you can use free disc-space on the iPhone for storage of regular Mac applications.

I think you're asking if...

I think you're asking if TouchFS will let you browse through your movie, music and photo collection that iTunes copies over to your iPhone when you sync up (or manually transfer as the case may be).

Right now, it will not. Third party applications like TouchFS don't have direct file access to other parts of the system.

As for storing applications on your iPhone w/TouchFS...it is possible, but you sure wouldn't want to run these apps directly from your iPhone since they'd be running over the WiFi network. The WebDAV protocol used by TouchFS is designed for transferring files (among other things), but isn't designed as a full-fledged network file system. Even if an app stored on your iPhone will run on your computer, I can't imagine you'd be happy w/the performance.

So just so we're clear...our official stance is that you can copy apps to your iPhone w/TouchFS, but running them on your computer from your iPhone is NOT supported. *smile*
